Job summary
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Staff Nurse with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team here within our Ophthalmology department.
We are a friendly team who take's pride in nurturing a friendly and supportive environment in which to work while ensuring we deliver high quality, patient-centered care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
- Ensure the rights of patients are respected at all times and assist in the provision of information, enabling informed decisions to be made about their care.
- Positively contribute to the process of change within the department.
- Contribute to the reduction of healthcare acquired infection by ensuring a high standard of infection control practice.
- To ensure personal attendance at mandatory training.
- Learn and perform new skills in relation to this specialty e.g. IV drug administration, defibrillation, venipuncture, ECG recording etc.
- Demonstrate nursing skills to more junior members of the nursing team, to enable them to assist in the implementation of prescribed nursing action
