Role summary
This role provides comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the integrated safeguarding team, which includes adult, children, and maternity safeguarding professionals. The post holder will handle highly sensitive information, maintain databases, transcribe minutes, and use various patient information systems. Strong IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively on complex safeguarding matters are essential. The role requires working unsupervised and meeting specified deadlines.
Essential criteria
- 5 GCSE's or equivalent, grade C or above. Must include English

- Previous experience within an administrative role
- Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of Medical terminology
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Ability to develop, operate and maintain electronic filing systems
- Ability to collate data to produce reports using Microsoft packages
- Demonstrate a commitment to respecting and displaying the Trust Values at all times
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Arranging meetings and taking Minutes
- Producing and maintain databases/Spreadsheets/ use of excel
- Experience of using a range of software programmes / IT packages e.g. Microsoft Office Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Internet & Intranet,
- Experience of working within the NHS or related social care / legal experience.
- Experience of dealing with Multi-Agency Professionals

Job summary
The post holder is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the integrated safeguarding team at East Cheshire NHS Trust. The team consists of named and specialist professionals within adult, children and maternity safeguarding. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will therefore view highly sensitive and emotive information and reports within the safeguarding arena.
The post holder should have efficient IT skills in order to maintain databases, transcribe minutes from meetings and use various patient information systems.
The post holder will demonstrate an ability to communicate with a range of people on complex safeguarding matters and issues and will be able to provide minutes of meetings. The person will also be expected to meet specified timescales / deadlines and be able to work unsupervised.
Hours per week: 30.00
For Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 12 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
