Role summary
This role is for an experienced paediatric physiotherapist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will assess and treat children and young people aged 0-18 with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and rheumatological conditions. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialist paediatric orthopaedic skills and make a difference to children's lives. It is a permanent part-time role based at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
Key responsibilities
- Hold a caseload of children and young people with paediatric specific orthopaedic and/or rheumatological conditions.
- Provide a high standard of physiotherapy to paediatric patients with orthopaedic and/or rheumatological conditions.
- Provide Specialist assessment, treatment and goal setting with orthopaedic and rheumatological paediatric patients and their families/carers.
- Determine clinical diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment for complex and/or chronic presentations.
- Maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
- Attend clinical level discussions/meetings related to your area of work as delegated by the Clinical team Lead.

Are you an experienced paediatric physiotherapist with knowledge, skills and experience of working with children with orthopaedic and rheumatological conditions?
Our outpatient service provides specialist assessment and treatment for children and young people aged 0-18 years presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. The caseload includes children with CTEV managed through the Ponseti method, DDH, gait abnormalities, normal developmental variants, common growth-related conditions, and rheumatological conditions.
You will become part of a dynamic, supportive multidisciplinary team, working alongside experienced Band 7 and Band 6 physiotherapists who are committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting professional development.
