Role summary
Join the Coastal and South Downs Community Primary Care Network Team as a registered nurse, based in Worthing. This role offers a diverse and rewarding field for newly registered nurses or those seeking a new challenge in community nursing. You will receive an individual induction plan and support to gain competencies, with opportunities for professional development including pursuing a District Nursing qualification. The role involves managing various patient needs such as diabetic care, wound management, palliative care, and bladder/bowel care, working towards patient rehabilitation and independence.
Essential criteria
- RN qualification / degree or diploma
- ENB 998 or equivalent or work towards
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of a range of clinical competencies
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Is able to demonstrate the application of research based practice
- Knowledge of current local policies informing community health and social care services
- A clear understanding of the role of the Community Staff Nurse
- Promote independence and choice in undertaking patient care
- IT literate or willing to achieve within an agreed period
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance, clinical audit and clinical supervision, Professional codes of Conduct Ability to demonstrate knowledge/ understanding of boundaries of role Practice supervisor

Job summary
The Coastal and South Downs Community Primary Care Network Team is looking for a registered nurse to join the team. We are based at Beach Park House in Worthing, covering Worthing and surrounding areas.
If you are newly registered or looking for a new challenge, Community Nursing offers a great opportunity to specialise in a highly diverse and rewarding field. Community nursing offers the applicants many specialties in one role.
Any successful applicants will have an individual induction plan to ease into this community environment.
We would expect any prospective applicants to have researched the community role and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust so you can demonstrate why you should be the successful candidate.
