Role summary

This role is for an organised and motivated Child Death Review Coordinator to join the Safeguarding Team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, working 30 hours per week. The post holder will act as a central point of contact for sensitive and confidential information, coordinating with partner agencies to support the statutory Child Death Review process across Somerset and Dorset. Key responsibilities include managing information, supporting meetings, and maintaining accurate records. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator committed to improving outcomes for children and families.

Essential criteria

  • - Educated to diploma Level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
  • - Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
  • - Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive, highly confidential and distressing information.
  • - Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • - Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
  • - Knowledge of NHS issues.

  • -Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/ instructions to colleagues and service users.
  • -Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment, with highly distressing information and able to accurately multi-task.

  • -Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadlines.

Job summary

We

are seeking an organised and motivated Child Death Review Coordinator to join
