Role summary
This role is for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate. The practitioner will work autonomously across two hospital sites, providing daily clinical review of inpatients, assessing patients, monitoring results, and coordinating multidisciplinary care. The position involves working closely with consultants, junior doctors, and nursing teams to optimize patient flow and enhance patient safety. Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional.
- Degree in nursing studies or relevant clinical degree.
- Mentorship certificate/Practice Assessor training or
- demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Clinical skills accreditation.
- Non-medical prescribing or willingness to complete.

Job summary
The Directorate of Trauma and Orthopaedics is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care through innovation, collaboration and continuous service improvement. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join our multidisciplinary team and support the development of patient pathways and experience.
The post provides an opportunity to work across two hospital sites, delivering specialist care to elective and trauma orthopaedic patients alongside Orthopaedic Practitioners, nurses, therapists, consultants and the wider MDT.
Our service includes three inpatient wards caring for patients with traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, elective surgery, post-operative recovery and rehabilitation. Fracture clinics provide trauma and elective services for adults and children, supported by plaster room and MDT services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive practitioner with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, who can work independently and collaboratively. A commitment to evidence-based care, professional development, service improvement and excellent patient experience is essential.
