Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, highly organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual to join the service as a Team Secretary. The role involves providing secretarial and administrative support to designated Community Mental Health Teams and Intensive Assertive and Complex Emotional Difficulties clinicians. The post holder will ensure all typing and administrative requests are promptly met, maintain effective communication, and uphold confidentiality. The role requires working with minimal supervision, using initiative, and prioritising tasks in a busy environment.
Essential criteria
- RSA/OCR III Word-Processing or equivalent qualification or experience
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- RSA/OCR II Audio-Typing or equivalent qualification or experience
- Previous experience working as a secretary within the NHS
- Computer Literate with experience of spreadsheets and databases

- Previous experience working as a secretary in a clinical environment in mental health
- Skills & Aptitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure whilst remaining calm
- Ability to manage own workload and work independently

Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, highly organised, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to join our service as a Team Secretary.
As well as having effective organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, it is essential that the applicant is able to prioritise work, handle difficult situations and have a flexible approach to working as part of a team. You should be able to integrate well with the existing team, be flexible in supporting the functions of the team and have a genuine desire to contribute to providing a quality service for patients.
The post holder should also demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able to clearly communicate with colleagues, patients, carers, the general members of the public and representatives from other hospital and organisations.
The post holder should be able to work with minimal supervision and will be required to use initiative, planning and prioritising of own time in a busy and challenging environment.
3 posts are available - 1 for each of the Integrated Care Areas - North/East, Mid and West.
Vacant posts are offered at 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday, 8.45 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.
