Role summary
The Fire Safety Advisor will support the delivery of a safe, compliant, and well-managed estate across Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust's diverse property portfolio. This role involves providing specialist fire safety advice, conducting and maintaining fire risk assessments, and supporting local fire procedures. The post holder will also investigate fire incidents, deliver fire safety training, and contribute to fire drills and exercises. The role requires a confident professional with a strong understanding of fire safety legislation and the ability to travel across Trust sites.

- Evidence of Adaptability with Working in Different Environments/ Under Mental Pressure to Meet Deadlines/Emotional Stressors (MH Wards)
- Physically Fit - Occassional moderate physical effort required as dutioes dictate e.g. demonstrating the use of evacuation equipment, moving of moderately heavy equipment such as extinguishers etc.
- Ability to remain focused in periods where there are frequent interuptions via email and telephone, and the constant requirement to reprioritise workload at short notice.

Job summary
We are seeking a Fire Safety Advisor to join the Estates & Facilities Directorate & support the delivery of a safe, compliant & well-managed estate across the Trust. This role will provide specialist fire safety advice across a diverse property portfolio, including hospitals, community sites, secure services, children's settings, offices & prison healthcare environments. The post holder will play an important role in helping the Trust meet its statutory fire safety duties & protect patients, staff, visitors & service users from fire-related risks.
