Role summary
This role involves coordinating the Termination of Pregnancy Service, providing clerical and administrative support, and managing patient booking systems. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and colleagues, handling inquiries sensitively and maintaining confidentiality. It requires strong organizational skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team. The position is based at Bridgend Health and Wellbeing Centre, working 30 hours per week.
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3/BTEC in Business or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of legalities of Termination of Pregnancy
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Experience of working with distressed patients
Desirable criteria
- previous experience as medical secretary or role using medical terminology
- Aptitude and Abilities Skills
- Autonomous working
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Resilience under pressure
- Good IT skills ie Word/Excel also knowledge of Myrddin
- Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality
- Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
- Enthusiastic/Motivated Team Player
- Ability to deal with patients and relatives in a sympathetic manner
- Circumstances
- Reliable and flexible to meet service needs

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated and organised individual to join our dynamic Termination of Pregnancy Team. They will be expected to deliver an effective and competent level of clerical and administrative support for our service based at Bridgend Health and Wellbeing Centre at Bridgend working 30 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The role will include the efficient co-ordination of the service, and delivery of booking systems for appointing patients. It will also encompass being the first point of contact for patients and colleagues contacting the service both in person and by telephone in a confident and sensitive manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The successfull candidate will need to have good communication skills, be organised and flexible and be able to demonstrate their abilit to work on their own as well as in collaboration with others within the multi disciplinary team maintaining effective working relationships.
We are a fast paced environment that requires an adaptable individual who can self direct.
You will need to have good IT skills ad competence in using a variety of IT applications, including Myrddin.
Knowledge of electronic record management systems will be beneficial but not
