Role summary
This role is for a Benign Urology Nurse Specialist to join a growing team, focusing on redesigning care pathways and strengthening nurse-led services. You will deliver nurse-led care as an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with various bladder dysfunctions. The position involves running specialist clinics, participating in MDT meetings, and coordinating care across services. Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist urology care to patients with bladder dysfunction and bladder outlet obstruction.
- Run nurse-led clinics including One stop LUTS, TWOC, bladder treatments, recurrent UTI, Functional urology issues, nephrostomy care, and Intermittent self catheterisation teaching.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and arrange diagnostic tests.
- Coordinate care across services, making referrals and managing treatment-related side effects.
- Actively engage in Audit and service development.
- Use research, clinical evidence, and best practice to inform treatment discussions and enhance patient care.
