Role summary
This Administrator role supports the Community MSK Physio Service within Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisations. The post holder will provide effective clerical and administrative support to clinical teams, coordinate office procedures, and act as the first point of contact for services. It requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work flexibly across various community bases.
Key responsibilities
- Provide effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to Community Health and Integrated Neighbourhood teams.
- Coordinate and implement office procedures, requiring high organisational skills and knowledge of administrative systems.
- Act as the first point of contact and focal point for services, requiring clear communication and liaison skills.
- Work as part of a team at a community base and provide cross cover at other bases during staff absence or increased workload.
- Liaise closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent service delivery, working flexibly as part of the team.
Essential criteria
- oGood standard of numeracy and literacy.
- oEvidence of recent further development / willing to work towards NVQ 3 level.
- oAble to deal confidently and professionally with all members of the MDT including patients and their families, resolving queries and progress chasing
- oAbility to analyse information to resolve problems
- oGood organisational skills.
- oExcellent communications skills.
- oWell-developed negotiating and motivating skills.
- oExperience of servicing meetings and taking minutes.
- oAbility to utilise a range of IT programmes, including Microsoft Office Suite including knowledge of Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrable experience of working within and office environment
- oAbility to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
- oAdaptable with a flexible approach to work and working hours.
- oGood customer service skills
- oWillingness to work flexibly at various locations in the service.
- oAbility to travel between various locations in the community.
Desirable criteria
- oIT qualification or equivalent.
- oKnowledge of the Health Service
- oKnowledge of Patient Administration systems e.g. EMIS/HIVE.
- Experience of working with the NHS in a support role.
- oRecognition of own limitations/flexibility.
