Role summary
This is an internal-only position for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker in the Intensive Care Unit at West Cumberland Hospital, working 30 hours per week. The role involves assisting registered nurses in providing high-quality patient care, undertaking clinical activities when competent, and maintaining patient privacy and dignity. The post holder will contribute to departmental objectives and ensure high-quality, safe care.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in health and social care
- Experience of undertaking and recording clinical observations and escalating changes or findings.
- Working knowledge of legislation underpinning care provision
- insight into behaviours and skills of a carer and the need for effective team work
- Knowledge of safeguarding and understanding work related boundaries
- Understanding of the importance of robust, accurate, clear, timely documentation.
- Understanding work-related boundaries
- Awareness of GDPR and the need for confidentiality

- Knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work legislation
- National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
- Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers

Clinical support worker , Band 3, West Cumberland Hospital 30 hours available .
