Role summary
This interim role is for a Deputy Head of Information Governance within the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will support the Head of Information Governance and Data Protection Officer in leading IG strategies, policies, assurance, and compliance. Essential criteria
- Masters degree or first degree and/or equivalent professional experience/qualifications

Desirable criteria
- IAPP accredited privacy qualification (CIPM, CIPP/E)
- GDPR Practitioner Certificate
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge of Information Governance legislation and practice, including UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, FOI, EIR, Access to Health Records Act, information sharing, information rights and records management.
- Experience of developing and reviewing information sharing and transfer agreements
- Experience of working with the Data Security & Protection Toolkit (DSPT)
- Experience in review and assessment of Data Protection Impact Assessments
- Experience of working as a Senior IG Officer, or Deputy Head of IG
- Has detailed knowledge of relevant corporate, professional and/or legal standards.
- Experience in handling IG security incidents and breaches

Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available for a Deputy Head of Information Governance to join the Information Governance (IG) team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
As a senior member of the team, you will support the Head of Information Governance and Data Protection Officer in leading the delivery of IG strategies, policies, assurance and compliance across the Trust.
You will provide expert advice across information governance, including data protection, information risk, Freedom of Information, Environmental Information Regulations and records management. You will help colleagues understand and meet their legal and regulatory responsibilities while supporting safe, effective use of information.
This is a varied leadership role offering the opportunity to:
- Provide expert advice on complex IG matters.
