Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Nursing Associate to join the East Durham community intervention team. The successful applicant will work as part of a busy community team, offering recovery-focused interventions to service users and managing their own caseload as Lead Professional. This role requires multi-agency working and liaison with other services within the Trust. Applicants must have completed the Nursing Associate foundation degree and be registered with the NMC.
Key responsibilities
- Work as part of the busy integrated community mental health team offering recovery focused interventions to service users.
- Carry own caseload as Lead Professional with supervision and support from the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Engage in multiagency working and liaison with other services within Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS Trust.
- Travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Nursing Associate Foundation Degree qualification
- GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
- Up to date understanding of the scope of and role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and multidisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
- Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code.
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
- Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
- Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
- Ability to deal with non- routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact

- Ability to develop effective and appropriate relationships with people, their families, carers and colleagues
