Essential criteria

- Excellent oral/written communication skills and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to deal assertively with difficult situations
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and accurately complete tasks

Job summary
The ER Administrator will work as part of the Employee Relations Team, providing a high level of support and assistance in ensuring key activities are undertaken in an efficient and effective manner. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining efficient administration of key ER processes, including the co-ordination of formal meetings and hearings. They will offer a customer always focussed approach, liaising with managers across all Divisions, Union Representatives and where necessary, external agencies.
Main duties of the job
Maintain the Employee Relations Team inbox, ensuring consistent, professional and timely responses to queries.
Act as one of the first point of contact for managers and members of staff at all levels dealing with their enquiries, providing information on a range of ER policies and procedures and NHS terms and conditions of employment
Deal with escalated queries from the HR Services team and provide accurate ER advice, or escalate as necessary
Direct employees and managers to the appropriate ER Advisor/Team, if necessary where more complex ER advice is needed.
Liaising and communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments, outside agencies, recording and communicating
