Key responsibilities
- Work as a bank midwife ultrasound practitioner, contributing to the Sonographer led Obstetric and Gynaecology ultrasound service.
- Independently manage the patient pathway for designated referrals, providing comprehensive reports and communicating findings to clinicians.
- Take responsibility for image archiving and data generated during procedures.
- Effectively communicate distressing and unexpected news to patients with empathy, respect, and tact.
- Develop professional expertise for external consultation and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership, engaging and empowering others, and promoting team working.
Essential criteria
- Registered Midwife
- NMC Registration
- Post graduate certificate or diploma in Obstetric and Gynaecology Ultrasound
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
Desirable criteria
- Short specialist courses leading to other postgraduate qualifications.
- Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
- Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods
