Key responsibilities
- Support the provision of Physiotherapy for adults with Learning Disabilities across mental health, positive behaviour support and physical health pathways.
- Conduct clinical assessment, care planning and appropriate clinical decision-making.
- Manage your own caseload and identify physiotherapy interventions.
- Jointly work with staff within the team to deliver interventions.
Essential criteria
- BSc Hons in Physiotherapy or post graduate diploma in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist
- Experience working in a healthcare provider organisation as a physiotherapist (or student placement)
- Clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written skills alone with clear logical presentation skills.
- Knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governance principles.
- Ability to work independently and collectively.
Desirable criteria
- Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- CPD evidence
- Experience of working with Adults with Learning disabilities.
- Experience of working as a qualified Physiotherapist
- Supervision of junior staff.
- Experience of completing mobility assessments
- Experience of completing initial assessments and risk assessments.
