Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult SLT Service as Clinical Lead for the Coastal Team in Worthing. You will shape and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across inpatient and community settings, driving service development and strengthening multidisciplinary working. As a senior clinician, you will also deputise for the Operational Team Lead, contributing to operational oversight and workforce development. This role combines strong clinical expertise with leadership and service improvement.

Essential criteria

  • Degree (or recognised equivalent) in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC
  • Postgraduate and experiential training in relevant areas
  • Evidence of a range of clinical competencies appropriate for the role

Desirable criteria

  • Management qualification or willingness to undertake
  • Significant experience of supervision provision
  • Significant experience of working in the clinical setting
  • Experience of managing a multi-professional team / collaborative working
  • Experience of managing a team or other relevant management experience.

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Advanced Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) to join our Adult SLT Service as Clinical Lead for the Coastal Team covering Worthing and surrounding towns and villages.

This is a dynamic leadership role where you will shape and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across both inpatient and community settings, supporting patients in Worthing and surrounding areas. You will play a key role in driving service development, strengthening multidisciplinary working, and ensuring excellent clinical outcomes.
