Role summary
This role is for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the South Bedfordshire Community Health Services, specifically in the Community Occupational Therapy service as part of the Primary Care Home Team. Essential criteria
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registered
- Experience of a broad range of physical conditions
- Demonstrates sound leadership skills through experience
- Demonstrates understanding of evidence based therapeutic knowledge and skills
- Access to a vehicle and holds A Full UK Drivers license
- Able to work weekends and bank holidays
Desirable criteria
- Community Experience
- Practice Educator trained
- NHS Experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and as a lone worker
- To be able to work flexibly across services

South Bedfordshire Community Health Services are looking for a full time band 6 Occupational Therapist to be part of the Community Occupational Therapy service within the Primary Care Home Team. We are a 7 day service 8am-9pm.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely alongside all members of the therapy team: Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Rehabilitation Support Workers, as well as a wider multi-disciplinary workforce across Bedfordshire. You will build close links with the professionals and services required to wrap around the needs of each individual to provide a holistic approach.
You will need to be innovative, forward thinking, self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Take pride in your work, be highly motivated and dynamic, have a flexible approach and be able to embrace change. Being a collaborative worker, with the ability to network and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders will be essential.
