Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the expanding Oncology research team at UHNM. The role involves facilitating the delivery of commercial and non-commercial research trials in Oncology and integrating with the existing research team to develop skills and improve patient care. The successful applicant will act as an ambassador for promoting research utilisation and best practice, liaising with healthcare and research professionals. This is a 12-month secondment/fixed term opportunity.
Essential criteria
- oCurrent NMC registration (Adult RN1/ RNA) (Nurses only). Or to be accredited on the AHCS Accredited Register for CRPs and to maintain continued registration (CRPs only).
- oDegree or Diploma in Nursing (Nurses only) or Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Research or Life sciences (CRPs only)
- oCurrent ICH-GCP certificate
- oInformed Consent training
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
Desirable criteria
- oPost-graduate qualification with a research methodology element
- oMinimum of three years' post registration clinical experience in an acute NHS environment
- oSubstantial experience in Oncology or Haematology nursing/ equivalent experience (CRPs only)
- oExperience of supervision and mentoring junior members of staff and students
- oAn understanding of research governance and quality assurance processes
