Role summary

This role supports the Patient Services Training Co-ordinator in delivering training on waiting list management and clinical administration processes across the Trust. The post holder will develop and deliver training packages for staff, ensuring consistent working practices to maintain safe and efficient operational services. They will also support training for medical and nursing staff on referral to waiting list management and clinical administration processes. The role involves data analysis to identify training needs and creating standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the Patient Services Training Co-ordinator, including planning regular and ad hoc training sessions for new and existing staff.
  • Set work packages and timescales for checking and signing off completed work, ensuring training is responsive and adaptive.
  • Develop responsive training packages to support the rapid implementation of Trust information projects (e.g., Digital Patient Communications, Patient Knows Best).
  • Analyse data reports from Power BI to identify trends and errors where training support may be required for users.
  • Create and implement documented standard operating procedures for waiting list management and clinical administration processes.
  • Produce, update, and confidently deliver waiting list management and clinical administration process and policy sessions to various levels of staff throughout the Trust.

Job summary

The post holder will be a member of the Patient Services Management Team and provide support to the Patient Services Training Co-ordinator as well as support in delivering waiting list management and clinical administration process and policy training across the Trust.

Development and delivery of all aspects of patient services/administration training for all disciplines of staff involved in waiting list management and clinical administration processand policies. The post is pivotal in delivering and maintaining a comprehensive and consistent level of training and working practice, which will enable the Trust to deliver safe, effective and efficient operational services to its patients and service users whilst ensuring operational continuity within the operational administration teams. Furthermore, the post holder will support delivery of a training plan for medical and nursing staff in relation to referral to waiting list management and clinical administration process and policies.
