Role summary

This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Paediatric Critical Care and Surgery in Children Operational Delivery Networks. It involves complex diary management, communication with stakeholders, coordinating online and face-to-face events, and minute-taking. The post also supports data collection, entry, and report preparation for the ODN team. This is a non-patient facing, mainly administrative role with remote working and some travel within the East of England.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to NVQ level 4 or equivalent
  • Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent professional experience

Desirable criteria

  • Secretarial qualification or equivalent
  • Typing qualification or equivalent experience
  • Specific technical/professional qualification
  • Previous experience of working in NHS
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment supporting multiple teams
  • Secretarial and /or complex administrative experience
  • Experience of event coordination/administration
  • Prioritising, planning and organising own and others tasks
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
  • Proven data entry and presentation skills
  • Experience of communicating with stakeholders and audiences at every level
  • Experience of invoicing/managing payments
  • Previous experience of working with clinical data
  • Experience in the use of statistical and analytical packages
  • Previous experience of working in a Clinical Network
  • Previous NHS experience

Job summary

The Paediatric Critical Care and Surgery in Children Operational Delivery Networks work collaboratively with 17 units across the East of England to support delivery of care to children and their families. We have and exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team to provide comprehensive, high quality administrative support to the Paediatric Critical Care and Surgery in Children Operational Delivery Networks. This role includes complex diary management for team members in both networks, communication with a wide range of stakeholders, set up and coordination of online meetings and larger face to face events, minute-taking and education team administration including managing bookings and payments for study days and other educational events. The post also involves support for the ODN team with data collection/entry and the preparation of reports. Please note this role is non patient facing and mainly administrative. Hours to be worked Monday - Friday. This post involves remote working with some requirement to travel within the EoE, including to host base in Cambridge.
