Role summary

This role is for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Cancer Wellbeing Service in Peterborough. You will provide expert support, guidance, and care to individuals affected by cancer, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. The position involves delivering tailored interventions in one-to-one and group sessions, focusing on managing the physical and emotional impact of cancer. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, empowering patients to live well during and after treatment.

Essential criteria

  • Degree in professional field of OT and HCPC registration
  • Post-graduate diploma level courses or equivalent experience in cancer
  • Evidence of OT continued professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Further education in cancer related field
  • Further training in psychological support approaches
  • Up to date evidence of 4 Pillars of Practice
  • Experience of inter-professional working and multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of how cancer affects wellbeing
  • Local Cancer pathways and treatments
  • National cancer strategy on wellbeing
  • End of life care
