Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join the Camden Early Years Speech and Language Therapy Service. The role involves specialist clinical practice, workforce development, service improvement, and leadership, supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs. A key part of the role is contributing to the Camden Kids Talk multi-agency initiative, helping early years practitioners promote children's communication development. The postholder will also provide universal, targeted, and specialist support for children with complex needs, focusing on social communication differences. This role requires a skilled clinician passionate about improving outcomes for children and families.
Essential criteria
- Diploma, Degree or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and HCPC
- Health and Care Professions Council Registration to Practice
- Evidence of successful completion of a range of specialist short courses and other CPD in specialist area
- Evidence of specialist post-graduate training relevant to Early Years Speech and Language Therapy
- Training in coaching approaches and workforce development
- Specialist training in social communication, neurodiversity-affirming practice and/or autism

Job summary
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join the Camden Early Years Speech and Language Therapy Service, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. This varied role combines specialist clinical practice, workforce development, service improvement and leadership.
One day per week will be as part of the Camden Kids Talk multi-agency initiative. Working alongside a Specialist Teacher and Speech and Language Therapists, the postholder will support the delivery of the project, helping early years practitioners implement evidence-based approaches that promote children's communication development. The successful candidate will also provide universal, targeted and specialist support for children with complex speech, language and communication needs. There will be a particular focus on shaping a service for children with social communication differences, working collaboratively with families and partner professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Working closely with nurseries, Family Hubs and partner agencies, the postholder will help ensure children and families receive high-quality, inclusive and family-centred support.
