Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Administrator to join the Sexual Health Dorset team in Weymouth. The role involves communicating with and supporting patients, managing appointments, and handling all administrative tasks for the clinical teams. It requires strong multitasking, patience, resilience, and good computer and organisational skills, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality.

  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience required

  • The post holder may be expected to travel between clinic sites across Weymouth, Bournemouth and satellite clinics within the service in accordance with the Trust Travel Policy providing cross-cover where necessary.
  • Knowledge of contraception and sexual health services or equivalent experience in an NHS provider service

  • Experience of using computer systems and good I.T knowledge

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive administrator to join our team at Sexual Health Dorset in the Weymouth hub.

The position is 36 hours per week Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will ideally have some previous experience of working within a similar role.Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team would be an advantage.

This role is key to the smooth running of the Sexual Health Dorset, you will be communicating with and supporting patients for appointments and other queries and dealing with all the admin for the clinical teams, including typing and processing clinical letters, managing referrals, organising appointments face to face and via a busy phone line and covering reception.

The role is a varied and busy one. You will need to have strong multitasking skills, patience, resilience, along with good computer and organisational skills. The need for confidentiality is essential in this role as is the attention to detail.
