Role summary
This is a permanent Staff Nurse position on Ward 25, focusing on Diabetes/General Medicine. The role involves assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse, current NMC registration
- BSc in Nursing (Diploma in Nursing as a minimum)
Desirable criteria
- Practice Assessor/Practice supervisor training
- Post registration qualification in relevant specialty
- Recent clinical nursing experience as a Desirable student or as a registered nurse
- Experience within relevant clinical setting
- Evidence of maintaining a clinical learning environment.
- Evidence of working with learners
- Sound clinical nursing knowledge and a good understanding of nursing issues and clinical governance
- Demonstrates awareness of own limitations
- Ability to organise workload and delegate Desirable Assessment tasks appropriately
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to support less experienced staff
- Ability to problem solve
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic IT skills, including e-mail and word processing

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arose for a fixed term position on Ward 25 Diabetes/General Medicine.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and undertake delegated tasks from the Ward Nurse Manager/Nurse in Charge.
Training will be provided.
The post holder will always work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct.
