Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse (RMN/RGN/RNLD) to join the inpatient team on Avalon ward within the National Eating Disorders service. The role involves providing direct personal care, coordinating care, and leading the delivery of comprehensive service user assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of person-centered care. Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 RMN/RGN/RNLD to be part of our inpatient team on Avalon ward within the National Eating Disorders service. If you are a forward-thinking nurse looking to start or develop your experience in an eating disorder service this is an excellent opportunity to consider.

As a Registered Nurse you provide direct personal care to patients, without direct supervision, and co-ordinate the care given by colleagues.

We are committed to getting the very best out of our staff and support staff in their career aspirations. We have career pathways available, where you will be able to develop your skills and build on your experience to progress into other roles across different specialties.

We are passionate about nurse development and many of our band 5 staff go on to band 6 positions within the team. We offer bespoke eating disorder training including NG training. We actively encourage CPD and support nurses to advance their skills, becoming Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Practice Development Nurses and provide training opportunities in psychological therapy. We are a team enthusiastic about Quality Improvement, we work closely with the QII team to continually improve the care we provide. The successful applicant will be involved in evidence-based treatment and service development opportunities.
