Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for two full-time Speech and Language Therapists to join the Adult Team in BCUHB West. The role involves providing high-quality communication and dysphagia assessment and intervention to Adults with Acquired Communication and Swallowing Difficulties across Gwynedd and Anglesey, working in both community and hospital-based services. You will manage a varied caseload, develop specialist skills, and contribute to clinical pathways and staff mentoring. The successful applicant will be part of a supportive team with a strong commitment to professional development.
Essential criteria
- Recognised qualification degree/equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC Registered
- RCSLT Registered
- Able to demonstrate continuing professional development e/g/ up to date CPD portfolio
Desirable criteria
- Membership of appropriate clinical network group.
- Other professional or academic qualification which relates to clinical practice
- Accredited Practice Placement Educator Certificate
- Experience/Knowledge
- A range of clinical experience across Paediatric/Adult SLT services
- Delegation to non-registered staff
- Experience in service development/improvement
- Evidence of attendance on relevant specialist short courses
- Delegation to registered staff
- Experience of delivering clinical education in area of speciality
- Experience of leading multidisciplinary/multi-professional teams

Job summary
