An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior healthcare support worker to join our busy and supportive team in the Highland Urology Centre. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior healthcare support worker to join our busy and supportive team in the Highland Urology Centre. The Highland Urology Centre is a dedicated outpatient unit for urology patients to receive the expertise of an entire team in one area. The department delivers consultant outpatient clinics, nurse specialist clinics, diagnostic procedures such as cystoscopies and prostate biopsies and the delivery of planned treatments for a variety of urological conditions.
Key skills in this role include venepuncture, bladder scanning, urine flow tests, urinalysis, specimen collection, NEWS 2, blood sugar monitoring, ordering and general housekeeping. Experience in these key skill is preferred but training will be available once in post. As a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker you will work closely with the nursing and medical team to provide care and support to patients attending the department.
