Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Staff Nurse to work in a fast-paced medical ward setting. You will deliver high standards of care, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and evaluate patient care programmes. The position involves managing chronic respiratory illnesses and supporting patients through rehabilitation, recovery, or end-of-life care. You will receive a full induction and continuous professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Work effectively and efficiently within the framework of team nursing and individualised patient care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for patients.
- Contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment, supervising junior staff.
- Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care, maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Manage chronic respiratory illnesses, including patients on NIV, CPAP, High flow oxygen, and Chest drains.
- Administer medication, perform care planning, implementation, and evaluation, and communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, patients, families, and carers.
