Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team as a part-time Team Administrator. The role involves providing confidential and courteous administrative support, managing referrals, arranging assessments, and liaising with service users and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing notes for meetings, maintaining patient records, and handling telephone enquiries. Strong administrative skills, good IT proficiency, and a team-player attitude are essential for this fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment.
Essential criteria
- GCSE 'O' level education including either English or Maths -- Grade C or above.
- Previous experience of working as a secretary/administrator.
- Experience in typing/word processing.
Desirable criteria
- IT Qualification.
- RSA typing.
- Experience of audio typing.
- ECDL, NVQ Level 3 in business administration or similar.
- Computer literate, good working knowledge of standard MS Office packages including Word, Outlook Excel and Teams.
- Experience of working in administrative role.
- Experience of dealing with the public and excellent telephone manner.
- Organisation of appointments and diary management.
- Previous NHS Experience.
- Working with patient information systems such as RIO.
- Additional Criteria
- Calm under pressure.
- Organised and flexible approach to work.
- Proven track record in prioritising workload.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the service.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Some understanding of mental health conditions.

Job summary
There is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team who are looking to recruit a part time Team Administrator to join our friendly but fast paced multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder must have experience of working within an administrative environment and will be working closely with our doctors. You will need to have a warm and professional manner; the successful candidate will be working as part of a team and therefore being a team player is essential as well as having the ability to work independently with good IT skills.
Please note this is a part time role for 27.5 hours per week and cannot be offered as full time hours
Main duties of the job
To provide confidential and courteous administration support to the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team. Receipt of new referrals ensuring they are triaged and carryout the required administration, arranging initial assessments, liaising with our Service\\users to agree a suitable date/time for their assessment. Booking in the HCP diary and liaising with the assessor.
Provide excellent administrative support to the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team, including sending of assessment/discharge letters, arranging assessments. Sending out letters either electronically to the GP or emailed as appropriate once they have been reviewed as accurate and then uploaded onto the RIO
