Role summary

This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Child Death Review (CDR) Team, including the Joint Agency Response (JAR) process and Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) in Hertfordshire. The post holder will manage the eCDOP system, coordinate meetings, monitor case progress, and maintain accurate information. It requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism. The position contributes to a high-quality child death review service.

Essential criteria

  • GCSEs grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge & Skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good IT skills - including all office applications and office equipment
  • Efficient/organised
  • To maintain a professional telephone manner at all times to make and receive telephone calls
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet the developing needs of the post
  • Ability to deal with distressing information and communicate in a sensitive and confidential manner
  • Work as part of a team and support team
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload

Safeguarding Children Administrator for Child Deaths

Job summary

A rare opportunity has become available to join our safeguarding children Child Death review Administration team. The post holder is a member of the Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust Safeguarding Children Team and is required to provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative support service to the Child Death Review team and the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) and to offer support to all partners involved in all child deaths (0 - 18 years) in Hertfordshire.

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum and a maximum payment per annum, pro rata where applicable.
