Role summary
This role is for a motivated and clinically skilled Community Staff Nurse to join a specialist wound care service. You will work independently and collaboratively within community clinic settings, reviewing ambulant patients and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for complex wounds. The role involves comprehensive wound assessments, treatment planning, and utilising tissue viability guidance to achieve positive wound-healing outcomes. You will also be responsible for catheter and nephrostomy care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive wound assessments, reviews and treatment planning for patients with complex or chronic wounds.
- Utilise specialist knowledge in tissue viability, vascular assessment, and lymphoedema management.
- Apply advanced wound care techniques, including compression therapy and specialist dressings.
- Conduct ABPI studies and interpret results to guide compression therapy and vascular referral decisions.
- Deliver safe and competent catheter care, including urethral and suprapubic catheter management.
- Provide nephrostomy care, ensuring correct maintenance, monitoring and escalation of complications.

Main duties of the job
