Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking breast imaging team as a Band 6 female mammographer. The role involves working across various mobile units and static sites within the Dudley, Wolverhampton, and South Staffordshire areas, providing breast screening and symptomatic services. A trainee mammographer will also be considered for this position. The successful candidate will be expected to cover all duties of a Band 6 Mammographer, requiring current experience in Mammography and HCPC registration.
Key responsibilities
- Cover all duties expected of a Band 6 Mammographer.
- Work across mobile units and static sites for breast screening.
- Provide symptomatic breast services.
- Travel to all Mobile Units and Static Sites as required.

- Good organisational and planning skills Able to manage and prioritise workload
- Able to make decisions
- Basic computer skills
- Experience of Quality Assurance Programmes
- DCR/BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
- Evidence of CPD
- Registered with the HCPC
- Commitment to quality standards

- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex/distressing news in a sensitive manner
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others
- Ability to work within and supervise a team

Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of the NHS Breast Screening Programme

- Enthusiastic to develop the service
