Role summary
This Mental Health Practitioner role involves managing a caseload of young people, providing mental health assessments and goal-based interventions. You will work collaboratively with internal and external services, including housing, education, and substance misuse, to support young people in overcoming obstacles and achieving their potential. The position requires working in partnership with young people, families, and carers to co-produce solutions and ensure informed decision-making. This is a bank role offered through Flexi-Bank, primarily for Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Essential criteria
- Degree or diploma level qualification in Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
- 2-year post qualification experience of working in the community with young people with mental health difficulties and their families.
- Experience of and ability to undertake Mental Health Assessments, Risk Assessment and implementation of risk management plans, use of outcome measures to evidence good practice
