Role summary

This is an opportunity for two Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurses in Endoscopy at University Hospitals Dorset. The successful candidates will be motivated team players committed to delivering high standards of patient-centred care with excellent communication and organisational skills. They will support the Sister, deputise in their absence, and coordinate the day-to-day running of the unit. Extensive knowledge of gastroenterology and endoscopy is required, along with a commitment to personal and staff development.

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for two Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge in Endoscopy at University Hospitals Dorset.You will need to be a hard-working and motivated team player committed to delivering high standards of patient centred care with excellent communication and organisational skills, a flexible attitude and you will need to demonstrate a commitment to your own personal development.The post holder must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of gastroenterology and endoscopy. The successful candidate will support the Sister and deputise for them in their absence and be responsible for the coordination of the day to day running of the unit. Will work collaboratively with referring clinicians and other specialists as part of the multidisciplinary team. Will be pro- active in the development of other staffs' practice and also be able to show evidence of their own self development within their clinical role.

Based at: Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth Hospital but cross site cover will be required at Wimborne Victoria Hospital.
