Role summary
This is a full-time Medical Secretary position within the busy Oncology team at Cheltenham General Hospital. Key responsibilities
- Use voice recognition software to transcribe and proofread dictated letters.

Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths and English, Grade C and above
- Typing qualification or demonstrable experience (min 40wpm)
- Good command and understanding of English, punctuation and grammar
- Excellent organisational skills

- Computer literate including MS Word, Excel, Outlook/Diary management

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time (37.5 hours) B3 Medical Secretary position to join our extremely busy yet friendly Oncology team based at Cheltenham General Hospital.
This important role supports the Outpatient Services in Oncology for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Additional working pattern details: Mon-Fri office based
Main duties of the job
You will ideally have secretarial experience and be accustomed to working in a high pressured yet friendly environment.
As a member of the secretarial team, you must possess an excellent work ethic with proven organisational and communication skills.
You will be expected to take responsibility for the workload of a small team of consultants and support the wider secretarial teams as required and under the supervision of the Supervisor Secretaries.
