Role summary

Key responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of all persons and properties at Medway Maritime Hospital.
- Promote a safe environment and reduce the fear of crime by providing a high profile visible presence.
- Enforce all policies and procedures of the Medway Maritime Hospital.
- Carry out patrols and provide escorts as requested.
- Undertake cash lifts ensuring that all departmental procedures are followed and PPE is worn.
- Respond to any security incident within an agreed time frame, including the use of reasonable force if necessary.
Essential criteria
- High Standard of Education
- Hold a current S.I.A licence level 2
- Mental capacity and deprivation of liberty (DOLs)
- Security systems i.e. CCTV, Alarms, access control
- General Law, to include criminal and common and associated legislation and acts
- Demonstrable experience working within the Security industry, or associated organisations
- Working with the general public
- Customer Care
- How do you demonstrate respect and dignity?
- Holds Valid Licence or Working Towards
