Role summary

This role involves working as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker within a community setting, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes. You will work independently as part of a busy, innovative Community Nurse Team, requiring strong communication and organisational skills. The position is based in the East Hub, but may require cross-cover for other teams.

Essential criteria

  • Level 3 vocational qualification in health or social care, or willingness to undertake or equivalent experience in community health care
  • L2 Functional/Key skills OR equivalent clinical experience in a community setting

Desirable criteria

  • Minimum of C grade GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience & Knowledge
  • Previous experience working and communicating with the public in a health/social care/educational setting.
  • Understanding of the role of a Senior Health Care Assistant
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team in health/social care or education
  • Skills & Attributes
  • Basic IT skills
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to manage, prioritise and organise own workload with advice and consultation
  • Advanced IT skills, ECDL qualification or electronic patient records e.g. using S1/EMIS/CPD
  • Education & Training

Job summary

Our Senior Health Care Assistants work as part of a large team comprising Health Care Assistants at Band 2 & 3, Nursing Associates, Registered Nurses and District Nurses.

We are looking to recruit dedicated, motivated and staff that are willing to go the extra mile for our patients to maintain high standards expected.
