Role summary

Essential criteria

- Experience of mentoring or supervising colleagues
- Venepuncture skills
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to develop the skills necessary to mentor/supervise level 2 healthcare support worker apprentices you are working alongside
- Understanding and practical knowledge of working in a healthcare setting

Main duties of the job
People who use our services are from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs which may include mental health, learning disabilities or dementia.
As a support worker you will be working closely with individuals, providing care to enable them complete activities of daily living in Hospital / Care setting with support from a Multi-Disciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers and doctors.
1. Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital
2. Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions
3. Carries out limited clinical care duties
