Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Rheumatology nurse to join a friendly team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves independent clinical working, assessing patients, supporting treatment decisions, and providing ongoing monitoring for those with long-term inflammatory conditions. You will develop strong therapeutic relationships with patients, helping them understand and manage their condition, and contribute to the investigation and management of rheumatological diseases across North Cumbria.

- Registered nurse with active registration

- A level of knowledge and competency at level II studies
- Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in a relevant field of nursing
- Budgetary awareness
- Previous experience of Clinical Supervision
- An awareness of the requirements of the post.
- Able to act as a clinical supervisor

- Be aware of, and act in, accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Able to act as a mentor and preceptor as required by the Trust and unit
- Understanding of professional leadership within area of practice
- Previous experience as mentor to pre-registration nursing students.

Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated band 6 Rheumatology nurse to join our friendly team on a 12 months fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your knowledge and confidence within Rheumatology while working autonomously and making a real difference to the care of patients living with long term inflammatory conditions.
The role offers a high level of independent clinical working, with responsibility for assessing patients, supporting treatment decisions and providing ongoing monitoring throughout the patient's treatment journey. Main duties of the job
