Role summary
This role involves joining the Inventory Management Team within the Procurement department, specifically supporting Theatre areas. The assistant will ensure agreed stock levels are maintained and manage the ordering of implants, keeping their data up to date. It requires a motivated individual to help deliver an effective stock management service and assist with the Scan 4 Safety project. Essential criteria
- Procurement experience
- Ordering systems such as Genesis, SBS Oracle and NHSSC systems
Desirable criteria
- Experience of inventory management on wards and departments
- Experience in Dealing with Implant data and dealing with Supplier Reps on order levels
- Qualifications & Training
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
- Prepared to undertake training
- Good keyboard Skills
- Computer literate using Microsoft applications
- Supply chain Practitioner Foundation Stage or equivalent experience
- Knowledge & understanding of the NHS
- Personal Attributes & Skills
- Ability to develop effective working relationships
- Good interpersonal skills-ability to converse, negotiate and convince on the basis of clear understanding and sound logic
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to report on non-compliance
- Ability to liaise with Suppliers and negotiate delivery dates etc.
- Ability to develop creative solutions
- Ability to deal with a range of priorities and plan accordingly
- Demonstrate the capability to carry out routine daily Inventory Management activities including replenishment of stock, with the flexibility to move between all sites of DBTH.

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Inventory Management Team within our Procurement department at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals As an Inventory Management Theatres assistant. You will ensure the agreed stock levels in Theatre areas are kept to their maximum. You will also maintain and keep the ordering of Implants utilised in Theatres to its maximum and ensuring the data on Implants is kept up to date.
This position requires a very motivated individual to assist the Inventory Management Theatres Team Leader for the delivery of an effective and efficient stock management Service to the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role will involve in the assistance of the Point of Care IM Theatre staff and will ensure the ordering of replacement Implants are processed correctly and to assist in the S4S project.
Main duties of the job
To establish & maintain a robust Stock Management service which encompasses the receipt and distribution of all goods into the Trust and the subsequent delivery and management of stock in ward and clinical area's via the current and future stock management solution.
