Role summary
This Rotational Occupational Therapist role offers a variety of acute-based options within a supportive environment, focusing on developing core OT skills. Essential criteria
- oDegree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- oHCPC Registration
- oDBS Clearance
- oExperience of working in the NHS at graduate or undergraduate level.
- oClinical experience with adult patients in a hospital/ physical setting (including prequalification)

- Car driver
- Member of BAOT
- oAbility to work as a member of a team.
- oAbility to take responsibility for own caseload.
- oInterest in all rotations on the scheme.
- oAwareness of MDT working and strategies to improve this.
- oExperience of working in a multi-cultural environment/community
- oAwareness of Clinical Governance and its implications on the OT role.
- Knowledge of quality issues, clinical governance and outcome measures.

This rotation contains a variety of acute based options. There is a large ranges of posts which will encourage development of core OT skills within a supportive environment.
You will be working a well-established therapy teams, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in the vibrant and diverse area of Lewisham.
Our well established team will support your transition from student to newly qualified therapist or encourage further development for experienced band 5s
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, patient-centred occupational therapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning across designated clinical areas.
The role involves managing a defined caseload with support from senior therapists, contributing to service development, and delivering evidence-based interventions to maximise patients' functional independence and occupational performance.
This role contains all core acute based rotations. There are a variety of settings which will encourage development of core OT skills within a very supportive environment.
