Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified anaesthetic nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join the paediatric anaesthetic assistant team at Evelina London Children's Hospital. Essential criteria
- NMC Level one Registration With Completed Anaesthetic Course or Recognised qualification in Operating Department Practice Registered with HCPC
- Evidence of continuing professional development

- Leadership Qualification
- SSSA&P training
- Recent experience in Anaesthetics
- Experience of working on own and in a team
- Experience of working within paediatric anaesthetics
- Able to assess, plan, implement & evaluate programmes of care
- Able to work as an effective team member
- Ability to administer prescribed medication including transfusion of blood and blood products
- Knowledge of Evidence Based Practice
- Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Venepuncture and Cannulation
- Values & Behaviours
- Upholds a high standard of ethical practice, confidentiality and accountability
- Puts the patient first and ensures their safety at all times
