Role summary
This role is for a Clinical Team Leader, a registered Mental Health/Learning Disabilities Nurse, to join the inpatient senior nursing team at Seastone Ward, a CAMHS High Intensity Unit. You will provide innovative, high-quality care to young people aged 13-18 with acute mental illness, focusing on comprehensive assessments and treatment for shorter hospital stays. The role involves leading a supportive team to deliver individual care in accordance with the integrated care programme approach. It is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility for part-time applicants.

- ENB 998 or equivilant teaching / mentoring qualification
- NVQ Assessor
- Further evidence of professional development and training
- Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Experience of working with seriously mentally ill clients during acute phases of ilness
- Understanding of ICPA and risk assessment
- Understanding of medication management issues and psychotropic medication
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983
- Working knowledge of NMC Code of Professional Conduct
- Basic IT keyboard skills, normally obtained through practice or practical training
- Previous experience of working with children and young people in mental health services
- Experience of using CBT/DBT/Motivational Interviewing
- Community Experience
- Additional Requirements
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a standard which enables the post holder to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities of the role effectively.
- A level of fitness and ability to participate and complete PMVA, Breakaway training and Manual Handling (practice and theory).
- Ability to travel using your own vehicle on Trust business

- Knowledge of child protection issues and reporting processes
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- IT skills, basic keyboard skills obtained through practice or practical training
- Ability to apply physical intervention

Job summary
Are you looking a registered Mental Health/ Learning Disabilities Nurse looking for a Clinical Team Leader role, that could develop into a clinical manager position. Joining our experienced inpatient senior nursing team at Seastone Ward, based on Alumhurst road, will help you grow and develop your career in Children and Adolescent Mental Heath Services.
As the Clinical Team Leader you will provide innovative, high-quality care to young people aged 13-18 suffering from acute mental illness. The ward will offer comprehensive assessments and treatment so Service Users can have shorter stays in hospital. You will help lead the team providing high quality care to young people working in a supportive team to provide individual care to those within the unit in accordance with the integrated care programme approach. We provide in depth on-going inductions, invest in personal training programmes and clinical and management supervision.
The Clinical Team Leader role is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week for a 24-hour service. We would be flexible and welcome part time applicants of 22.5 hours.
Early - 07.00 to 15.00
Late - 12.00 to 20.00
Long days - 07.00 - 20.00
