Role summary
This role is for a motivated clinician to join the South Gloucestershire CAMHS locality team. You will provide assessment, treatment, and consultation services to children, adolescents, and their families, working within a supportive multi-disciplinary team. The position involves managing your own caseload, conducting urgent assessments, and collaborating with other agencies. You will have opportunities to utilize and develop your skills, particularly within the Eating Disorder clinic.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions, managing your own caseload from referral to discharge.
- Carry out specialist urgent assessments of young people's mental health needs and associated risks, including deliberate self-harm assessments.
- Work with children, young people, and their families to promote engagement in care plans and service evaluation.
- Work jointly with staff from other agencies in direct work with children, young people, and their families.
- Practice within current legislation governing services to children and young people, including safeguarding guidelines.
- Provide reports and maintain written records of assessments, clinical interventions, and consultation meetings.
Essential criteria
- Relevant completed professional qualification (e.g. clinical psychology, mental health nursing, social work, family therapy, occupational therapy, accredited CBT, psychotherapy)
- Maintenance of appropriate professional registration
- Post qualification of delivering evidence based therapies to young people and families in CAMHS
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and ability to contribute to team meetings and processes.
- Ability to work with children, young people and families from a wide range of social, cultural and minority ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to work autonomously, and organise and prioritise workload.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in a community CAMHS service
- Interest and experience in working with Eating Disorders
- Experience of Clinical supervision/consultation - junior colleagues or other staff.

Job summary
We are looking for a motivated clinician to join our South Gloucestershire CAMHS locality team based at Kingswood Hub and Patchway Hubs (ideally at least one day will be based in Patchway). You will have relevant qualification, core profession registration and experience of working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service.
We are a supportive, experienced and creative multi-disciplinary team. We offer individual, family, specialist and group interventions which may be time limited or longer-term therapies according to need. You will have the opportunity to utilise your existing skills within core work and/or specialist clinics ideally within our Eating Disorder clinic. Also to further develop your skills and experience with support from our experienced team and our training opportunities.
22.5 hours per week, working pattern considered for suitable candidate, must be available on Tuesdays.
