This role is for a Theatre Practitioner to join the Recovery unit of the Main Operating Theatres at Glangwili General Hospital. Essential criteria
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) OR Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
- Registered General Nurse OR Registered Operating Departmental Practitioner
- Commitment to undertake an appropriate course of study
- To have a knowledge and understanding of all surgical specialities within the operating department
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
- Diploma in theatre perioperative practice
- Language Skills
- Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
- Evidence of experience use of equipment and materials
- Post registration experience
- Relevant experience in all specialities General / orthopaedic / gynae / urology / Trauma
- Experience in the supervision / teaching of students, support staff and others

Elective and emergency surgery is performed in our department 24/7, with an opportunity to work weekends along with weekdays.
We offer a structured induction package and continued professional development is available to all staff.

Willingness to work as part of an on-call, 24/7 rota will be required for this post.
A structured induction programme will be provided for all new members of staff, plus access to on-going continuing professional education and development.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
