Role summary

This is a fixed-term Senior Rehabilitation Assistant role until March 2027, joining the Bradford District and Craven Multi-System Rehabilitation Service. The post-holder will support patient care delivery through various interventions, including virtual, online, and face-to-face sessions, as well as group activities. The role involves administrative duties and effective use of digital systems and AI to ensure high standards of patient care. Essential criteria

  • Recent experience of working in a health care setting
  • Experience of working with people with a range of long-term health conditions
  • Experience of supporting therapeutic interventions in group and 1:1 formats
  • Experience of working in an MDT / agile team
  • Extensive experience in use of IT applications including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office and AI applications/software, SystmOne

  • Experience of supporting and carrying out therapeutic interventions remotely
  • Recent experience of working with a range of AHPs and mental health professionals in the NHS.
  • Good Communication skills including observation, listening and empathy and ability to adapt these skills to a virtual working platform
  • Skills to empower people to realise and maintain their potential in relation to health and well being
  • Ability to work well within a predominantly virtual team
  • Analytical and reflective skills
  • Planning and organisational skills - ability to independently prioritise workload under the supervision of therapy/support service staff
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to cope with working in a stressful environment, including emotional or aggressive patients and carers
  • Ability to produce high quality written and verbal information including reports, presentations and spreadsheets
  • Ability to use web based graphic design platforms and/or other similar software
  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation in therapy / dietetic services and awareness of the roles of other professionals.
  • Knowledge of health, safety issues
  • Awareness of Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Knowledge of bio-psychosocial model of therapeutic interventions
  • Good general level of education including GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant Level III QCF qualification
  • 4 GCSEs Grade A - D
  • ECDL or formal qualifications in word processing and spreadsheets / Microsoft 365 / AI/ transcription services

We are excited we have the opportunity for a motivated and flexible Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Bradford District and Craven Multi- System Rehabilitation Service (MSRS) on a fixed-term basis until 31.03.27.

We have built up a large amount of expertise in supporting people with complex rehabilitation needs including Fatigue, Breathing Pattern Disorders, Anxiety/Stress, alongside Vocational Rehabilitation.

We support home, virtual and out-patient clinics due to the large geographical are with a personalised approach to patient care. Patient contact varies from telephone, video, or face to face, individual and / or group sessions.
