Role summary
This is an engaging and dynamic role supporting the growing Lung Cancer Screening Service at Royal Berkshire Hospital. - Stakeholder Communication Experience
- IT Competence, experience working within Microsoft Applications
- Previous NHS Experience
- Educated to A-Level or NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration/Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience
- Recognised qualifications in literacy and numeracy (Minimum GCSE English and Maths)
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Customer Care experience.
- Experience of handling patient/customer queries

Job summary
This is an engaging and dynamic role that demands outstanding administrative and coordination skills to support the growing Lung Cancer Screening Service at the Royal Berkshire Hospital for patients in Berkshire and the surrounding areas.
The primary aim of the Lung Cancer Screening (LCS) Programme is to promote the early detection of lung cancer to save lives. Royal Berkshire Hospital and the Thames Valley Cancer Alliance have pinpointed areas within Berkshire with high disease and smoking rates, where significant progress can be made by identifying early-stage lung cancer. The objective is to implement various interventions aimed at reducing lung cancer rates, enhancing the stage of diagnosis, and improving one-year survival rates.
The LCS administrator will assist the programme/project manager in establishing and executing the programme, following the framework set by the LHC National Programme and National Protocol.
The successful candidate will join the Respiratory Medicine team, collaborating closely with the LCS programme manager, nursing staff, and COPD community colleagues to foster partnerships with GP practices and external support organizations.
This is a permanent position and will be part of the National Lung Health Checks
