Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for two Band 5 Staff Nurses to join Pine Ward, a 20-bedded mixed acute ward.   • Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge base regarding: Effective Care Co-ordination, Care Planning and evaluation, Quality and clinical audit and Health & Safety/Risk Management Mental Health Act
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of the Code of Conduct and the nurse's responsibility to identify gaps in their knowledge base
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the concepts of mentorship, preceptorship and supervision
  • Appreciate the process of standard setting and audit
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Possess good listening and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 X band 5 staff nurse to come and join the teams on Pine Ward. Pine Ward is a 20 bedded mixed acute ward.

The range of skills you can learn and develop while working on Pineward is wide and varied, working in this environment can encourage you to become a dynamic, creative and strong leader as well provide you with the ability to think on your feet, problem solve and manage a challenging setting.

Future aims for Pine ward include therapeutic and psychological input for clients, this will be driven and provided by the staffing team so staff coming into this role will eventually be provided with additional training .

You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, completing Safety plan training , physical health is very important to us so we can further your skills by offering venepuncture and ECG training.

There are also multiple opportunities to engage in further training such as STRIVE, THRIVE and post graduate certification in psychological interventions.
